A youth was hacked to death at Shasthitalapara in Jashore on Saturday night.
The deceased, Ashraful Islam Bipul, 26, an employee of the ACI, was a resident of Sheikhhati on the outskirt of the town.
Miscreants led by Bappi, who is former husband of Bipul鈥檚 wife, hacked him to death after calling him at Shastitalapara at around 8:10pm, said Abul Hasnat Khan, officer in-charge of Kotwali police station.
Akhtar Hossain, father of the deceased, said that Bappi hacked Bipul for marrying Sumaiya.
People of the area took him to Jashore General Hospital but doctors declared him dead.
鈥楢 case was filed with the Kotwali police station in this connection. But none was arrested,鈥� the OC added.
