Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested the prime accused in a case filed over dismembering the body of a woman from Roufabad in Chattogram city on Friday.
The arrested was deceased Fatema Akther鈥檚 husband Md Sumon.
Tipped off, a team of RAB-7 conducted a drive in Chattogram and arrested Sumon, said MRM Mozaffar Hossain, assistant director (public relations) of RAB-7 on Friday night.
Earlier on Thursday, police recovered the body of 20-year-old Fatema, severed into eleven pieces, from a flat in Roufabad in Chattogram city.
Getting a bad odor from the 9th floor flat of Paharika Housing, local people informed the matter to police who recovered the body pieces from the house.
