Border Guard Bangladesh detained them on Thursday morning after locals spotted the people wandering suspiciously and informed the BGB.
In an initial interrogation by the BGB, the detainees identified themselves as residents of Phulbari upazila in Kurigram district.
They said they went to India in search of work about 10 years ago and were recently caught by the BSF from Haryana state and pushed into Bangladesh via the border route.
The 15th BGB Battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam, said that the people who came through push-ins have been detained.
The BGB official said that the detainees claimed to be Bangladeshis and further action will be taken after confirming their identities.
He added that a letter was sent to the BSF in that regard, calling for a flag meeting, but no response has been received yet.

The police said that local people held them and handed them over to the Bakshiganj police.
