
The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate and its equivalent examinations will be published at 2:00pm on Thursday in Bangladesh.
This year the SSC and its equivalent examinations started on April 10 and ended on May 22. The number of examinees this year is 19,28,181.
The results will be published through web sites of the 11 education boards, examination centres/educational institutions concerned and through SMS (short message service).
The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee on Tuesday issued two separate notices, signed by committee chief professor Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, in this regard.
According to a notice, initiatives have been taken to publish the results from the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet, Dinajpur and Mymensingh, Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board at 2:00pm on July 10.
On the occasion, a views-exchange meeting with journalists will be held at the conference room in the Dhaka education board in the capital tomorrow, the notice added.
Another notice said that the result sheet could be downloaded from the boards’ web sites. For example, the Dhaka board result sheet can be downloaded by clicking the result corner at www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd and entering the educational institution’s EIIN (educational institute identification number).
The result sheet can also be downloaded from the www.educationboardresults.gov.bd by entering roll and registration numbers.
Examinees can also get results through SMS by sending message to 16222. For the re-examination of results, the candidates can apply between July 11 and 17 through SMS.
A press release issued by the Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd, the state-run mobile operator, on Tuesday said that the examinees could get results through SMS by typing SSCBoard name (first three letters)RollYear and sending this to 16222.
For the nine general boards, the examinees should type ‘SSC’, for the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board the examinees should type ‘Dakhil’ and for the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, the examinees should type ‘SSC Tec’.
For the re-examination of results, the candidates should type RSCBoard name (first three letters)RollSubject code and send this to 16222, the release said.
The examinees should type the subject codes in case of more than one subject.
For applying for every subject the fee will be Tk 150, the release added.
Past year the SSC and equivalent examinees started on February 15 and the results were published on May 12. That year, out of a total of 20,13,597 students, 16,72,153 passed.
In 2024, the results were handed over to the then prime minister Sheikh Hasina and later the results were published from educational institutions and through online.
After the interim government took office following the ouster of the Awami League government on August 5, 2024, in a student-led mass uprising, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee published the Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations on October 15.
