A 37-year-old man was arrested early Sunday allegedly for raping a seven-year-old girl at Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj.
Police said that the suspected rapist, Shah Alam, is a neighbour of the victim.
The victim's mother told the police that she went out of her house on Saturday noon for an urgent matter keeping her 7-year-old daughter in the house.
鈥楢lam entered the house at that moment and raped my daughter. After returning home at around 1:00pm, I found my daughter crying,鈥� the woman alleged, adding that she informed the police about the incident after hearing from her daughter in details.
Madhabpur police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Shahid Ullah told 抖阴精品 that they conducted a raid early Sunday at the house of Shah Alam and arrested him.
鈥楾he arrestee was sent to Habiganj district judicial magistrate court that sent him to jail,鈥� he said.
The police officer said that the victim was admitted to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for treatment and necessary medical tests.
