The annual general meeting of the CUET Club, a social, cultural and recreational organisation of teachers and officials of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, was held at the auditorium of the club at CUET in Chattogram on Thursday.
CUET Club chief patron and CUET vice-chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan was present as chief guest at the meeting, said a press release on Saturday.
CUET Club president Professor Md Mainul Islam presided over the event, while the club鈥檚 general secretary Professor Muhammad Rashidul Hasan delivered the welcome speech.
The meeting also handed over the charges of CUET Club鈥檚 to new committee.
President of the new committee Professor AH Rashedul Hossain also delivered speech at the event, which was moderated by Professor Md Sanaul Rabbi, department of mechanical engineering.
The club鈥檚 finance secretary Naimur Rahman presented the club鈥檚 income and expenditure account for the past year.
Earlier, a fruit festival was celebrated at the initiative of CUET Club and prizes were distributed among the winners of various sports competitions.
