
On the third day of keeping the outpatient department of Bangladesh Medical University open during Eid-ul-Azha holidays, 1,580 more patients were given treatment in the outpatient department 1 and 2 of the BMU in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The doctors and residents of the BMU provided these treatments to the patients, said a press release on Thursday.
Earlier, the outpatient department was opened for patients on June 5 and 8. During the Eid-ul-Azha holiday, a total of 2,480 patients were treated in the outpatient department during these 3 days. In addition, the indoor and emergency departments of the university hospital are open as usual every day. The emergency lab programme of the hospital is also running.
Like the first and second day, the third day of the healthcare was inspected by BMU pro-vice-chancellor for administration, Professor Dr Md Abul Kalam Azad.
BMU director for finance and accounts Khandaker Shafqul Hasan Ratan, special secretary-1 to the vice-chancellor Dr Md Ruhul Quddus Biplab, deputy director for hospital Dr Md Abu Naser also inspected the medical camp and gave necessary instructions to complete the camp smoothly.
