Local government, rural development and cooperatives adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain on Monday said that the Election Commission would provide an election schedule in due time in line with the announcement of the chief adviser.
The adviser told reporters at Jahapur Bazar while exchanging views with local journalists.
In the views exchange meeting, the adviser said that the people were being deprived of daily services due to the absence of local government representatives.
He said that it was sad when country鈥檚 main media carry on reports based on rumours of social media platforms with political motive.
Asif Mahmud, also the youth and sports adviser, said that a group of people had humiliated his family over an incident in Chandpur.
鈥業 have spoken with the information ministry in this regard. As a common citizen of the country, I will take legal action against it,鈥� he said.
Earlier, he visited different areas of Muradnagar and exchanged Eid greetings with locals. He also visited different ongoing development projects in Babutipara, Paharpur, Chaliakandi, Jahapur, Shushunda, Darora and Nahol Chowmohani village.
Local government officials were present at that time.
