At least six people were killed in separate road accidents in Tangail, Naogaon and Natore districts from Monday night to Tuesday.

抖阴精品 Tangail Correspondent reported that three people were killed Tuesday morning when a microbus hit a parked truck in the Karatipara bypass area of Basail upazila on the Dhaka-Tangail Jamuna Bridge highway.


The deceased were Amzad Mandal, 65, his sons Ratul Mandal, 26, and Atul Mandal, 13, from Sherpur district, said Gorai highway police station officer-in-charge Mohammad Jamal Uddin.

The OC said that the trio dead on the spot and the bodies would be handed over to the family members after completing the legal process.

A retired army officer was killed on the spot in a road accident when a sand-laden truck ran over him in front of the Muktijoddha Complex in Dhamairhat upazila of Naogaon Tuesday morning, reported Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha.

The deceased is Abdur Rashid Chowdhury, 60.

Confirming the matter, Dhamairhat police station OC Abdul Malek said that police arrested the truck driver.

A pick-up truck driver and a mango trader were killed on the spot after being run over by another one while changing their vehicle鈥檚 punctured tire in Chalk Baidhanath Chamrapatti area of Natore town Monday night.聽

The deceased are driver Mohammad Rony, 35, and mango trader Abdul Mazid, a passenger of the vehicle.

The bodies were kept at the Natore Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue, said Natore sadar police station OC Mahbub Rahman.
