On the occasion of Kazi Nazrul Islam鈥檚 birth anniversary, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University Journalists Association organised a two-day long July Uprising photo exhibition.
Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University vice-chancellor Professor Jahangir Alam inaugurated the exhibition Sunday morning, said a press release on Tuesday.
The exhibition paid tribute to those who lost lives, were injured, or traumatised during the Uprising.
Among others, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh chairman Professor SMA Faiz, syndicate members of the university Mahbubur Rahman, M Jakir Hossen and treasurer professor Joynal Abedin Siddique were present.
The exhibition showcased the sacrifices of students and the brutality of fascist regime.
President of the association Kamrul Hassan said that July was a historic month when many people sacrificed their lives. So, they needed preserve the events.
