
Bangladesh Open University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tagore University of Creative Arts at the TUCA of Uttara in Dhaka on Sunday.
The main objective of the MoU is to conduct a specialised undergraduate course titled TV and Visual Media: Production-Making Process, as well as to enhance the skills of both institutions in the field of media and communication, ensure mutual cooperation in academic and professional fields and exchange knowledge and experience among media experts, said a press release.
TUCA vice-chancellor Professor Syed Mohammad Shahed, BOU vice-chancellor Professor ABM Obaidul Islam, BOU pro-VC for education Professor Dil Rawshan Jinnat Ara Nazneen and pro-VC for administration Professor Sayeed Ferdous, among others, were present at the ceremony.
BOU registrar Md Shafiqul Alam and TUCA registrar Mahmud ul Alam signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
ABM Obaidul Islam said that the signing of this MoU marked the beginning of a new horizon between the two institutions. ‘It will make an effective contribution to acquiring up-to-date skills in the field of media and communication.’
