
The Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned British lawmaker Tulip Rizwana Siddiq to appear before the commission on May 14 over allegations of acquiring a flat in the capital鈥檚 Gulshan illegally.
ACC deputy director for public relations Akhtarul Islam told 抖阴精品 that the commissions issued a summon asking Tulip to be present at the commission鈥檚 Segun Bagicha headquarters in Dhaka.
On April 15, ACC filed a case with its integrated district office in Dhaka-1 against Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, daughter of Sheikh Rehana and niece of deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and two others for grabbing a flat at a project of Eastern Housing Limited in the city鈥檚 Gulshan area.
According to the case statement, Tulip allegedly received the flat鈥攍ocated at B/201, House No 11A and 11B (previously, 5A and 5B), Road No 71, Gulshan-2鈥攆rom Eastern Housing Limited as illegal remuneration.
