Unico Hospital conducted a national level nursing workshop on patient safety at the hospital premises in Dhaka on Sunday.

The event brought together close to 200+ healthcare professionals under the theme ‘Safe care, every time, everywhere by everyone’, said a press release on Tuesday.


The workshop featured interactive sessions on International Patient Safety Goal, fall prevention, and medication safety, alongside video, case studies and hands-on IPSG stalls.

Unico Hospital, a 250-bed facility, started its operations in January this year with the technical collaboration of Rajagiri Hospital from Kerala, India.

The workshop was conducted by the nursing team of Unico Hospital under the leadership of Gracy Abraham, chief of the nursing service, and other trainers of the hospital. Ardra Kurien, CEO of the hospital, was present as chief guest along with Brigadier General (retired) Md Sharif Ahmed, chief of medical services, as special guest.

Students from different parts of the country, including Dhaka, participated. At the end of the event, each participant was given a certificate.
