Chief adviser鈥檚 special assistant to the ICT ministry Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb on Sunday warned about massive cyber attacks on the digital infrastructures and propagation of rumours and misinformation ahead of the national election.
鈥楳ost probably we are going to face largest cyber attack in the country鈥檚 history ahead of the national election with the joint attempts of native and foreign forces. There will be vast amounts of misinformation on the social media sites too to misguide people,鈥� Taiyeb said.
He was addressing at a workshop on digital verification and fact-checking at the ICT tower in Dhaka鈥檚 Agargaon area.
District information officers participated in the workshop.
Taiyeb called upon the government officials to stay alert from now to confront the attacks.
