Railway police recovered the body of a man near railway tracks in Rajshahi city on Wednesday morning.
The deceased is Habibur Rahman, 50, a resident of Char Barorshia village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj.
Faisal Bin Ahsan, officer-in-charge of Rajshahi Railway Police Station, said that Habibur along with others had recently travelled to Khulna for seasonal paddy harvesting.
鈥榃hile he was returning home on the roof of the Mahananda Express train along with other labourers early Wednesday, he might have fallen from the moving train at around 3:00am,鈥� he said.
The police officer said that they sent the body to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
鈥榃e are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death,鈥� he said, adding that a case of unnatural death was lodged with the police station.
