Rabindra University, Bangladesh celebrated Bengali new year-1432 with colourful arrangements on Monday.
On the occasion, a procession started from the campus and circled the main roads of Shahjadpur city, said a press release.
After the procession, vice-chancellor of the university Professor SM Hassan Talukder extended New Year greetings to all the teachers, students, officers, employees and everyone concerned of the university.
Pro-vice chancellor of Rabindra University Professor Suman Kanti Baroya, treasurer Professor Firoz Ahmed, proctor (acting) Nazrul Islam, chairmen of various departments, teachers, students, officers and employees attended the event.
Also, Baisakhi fair and cultural programme were organised on the campus to celebrate Pahela Baishakh. 聽
A play 鈥楲arai鈥� based on the genocide in Palestine was organised with the performance of the university students.
