A housewife was killed as a tree fell on her during a 苍辞谤鈥檞别蝉迟别谤 in Phulbari upazila in Kurigram at around 3.30am on Sunday.
The deceased is Sakila Begum, 52, wife of Golam Hossain of Fakirpara village in the Jokurtol area under Shimulbari union of the upazila.
The deceased鈥檚 family said that during a 苍辞谤鈥檞别蝉迟别谤 a big tree fell down on a corrugated iron roof of the room where Sakila was asleep.
She was killed on the spot, the family added.
Later, local people recovered the body.
Officer-in-charge of Phulbari police station Shariful Islam said that being informed of the incident they visited the the spot.
The body was handed over to her family members, the officer added.
