Canadian academic and international business education leader Professor Daniel W Lund joined the Independent University, Bangladesh as pro-vice-chancellor on Sunday.
Before joining the IUB, he served as founding dean of graduate programmes and executive education at British Management University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, said a press release.
Over his career, he has held several senior academic leadership positions across universities in the Middle East and the South Pacific.
He is currently completing an EdD from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on entrepreneurial leadership in education. 聽
He holds a PhD from Griffith University, Australia, specialising in higher education organisational effectiveness and the management of diversity;
He also completed specialised teaching and leadership training with Duke University鈥檚 Fuqua school of business, Harvard business school, and MIT鈥檚 Sloan school of management.
Lund鈥檚 research interests span leadership in higher education, cross-cultural management, expatriate adjustment and strategic human resource management.
