Driver of a tractor was killed when the Dhaka-bound Sundarban Express hit the vehicle while trying to cross the rail track at Soadi village near Sabdarpur Railway Station at Kotchandpur in Jhenaidah on Saturday.
The deceased, Bhola Mia, was a resident of Goyerpur village of Darshana in Chuadanga.
Quoting locals, the police said that the accident occurred around 12:00am when the train hit the tractor while trying to cross the rail track at the village, leaving its driver Bhola Mia dead on the spot.
Railway police recovered the body and the tractor.
