
Additional secretary Md Salim Ullah has recently joined as chairman of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation.
He joined the office on March 6, 2025, said a press release on Monday.
The new chairman re-planned and called upon the officers and employees of the BIWTC to complete the work within the specified time limit.
Md Salim Ullah joined the deputy commissioner’s office in Naogaon as an officer of the 15th batch of BCS administration in 1995.
He held different positions, including upazila nirbahi officer of Kaliganj in Gazipur, Ministry of Industries and Ministry of Land’s additional secretary.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s in English literature from Dhaka University. He also received skill-enhancing training in Thailand, China, India, Japan, Switzerland and Malaysia.
