A man killed his teenage girl at Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj on Wednesday after failing to resist her from talking to boys over the mobile phone.
The deceased is Ranu Begum, 15, daughter of Mayeen Uddin of Ghhanashyampur village at Chowmohani union under the Madhabpur upazila, police said.
Local residents said that Ranu used to talk to different boys over her mobile phone but her father Mayeed did not like it.
Having failed to convince Ranu to stop talking to boys over the mobile phone, Mayeen got furious at around 2:30pm on Wednesday and hacked her neck with a machete, leaving her dead on the spot, they said.
Madhabpur police officer-in-Charge Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the killing incident to 抖阴精品.
鈥楾he body has been sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination,鈥� the officer said in the evening, adding that the process of taking legal step in this regard is underway.
