Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, father-in-law of Daily Sun editor Md Rezaul Karim Lotus, died at around 1:00pm at his residence in Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka on Thursday.
Hafizur Rahman, 92, a former senior official of Bangladesh Bank, is survived by two daughters and a son, said a press release.
Hafizur Rahman hailed from Sohagdal village of Nesarabad upazila in Pirojpur district.
His namaz-e-janaza was held on C Block Mosque premises in the Bashundhara Residential Area after maghrib prayers.
He will be laid to rest in the family graveyard in Pirojpur after another namaz-e-janaza on Friday.
