Mohammad Hafizur Rahman, father-in-law of Daily Sun editor Md Rezaul Karim Lotus, died at around 1:00pm at his residence at Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka on Thursday.
Hafizur Rahman, 92, a former senior official of Bangladesh Bank, left behind two daughters and a son to mourn his death, said a press release.
Hafizur Rahman hailed from Sohagdal village in Nesarabad upazila under Pirojpur district.
His namaz-e-janaza was held at the C Block Mosque at the Bashundhara Residential Area after Maghrib prayer.
He will be laid to rest in the family graveyard in Pirojpur after another namaz-e-janaza on Friday.
