
The Korea International Cooperation Agency country director Kim Taeyoung held a meeting with the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division secretary Md Nazrul Islam on Thursday to discuss the launch of a transformative new signature project aimed at bolstering rural development and fostering sustainable growth in Bangladesh.
High officials of KOICA Bangladesh office and RDCD, including Saif Uddin Ahmed, director general (additional secretary) of the Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development, were present at the meeting, said a press release.聽
The meeting, held at office of the RDCD secretary, centred on the conceptualisation and planning of a high-impact initiative designed to address critical challenges in rural areas, including good governance, livelihood enhancement, and community resilience.
The upcoming project underscores the longstanding partnership between KOICA and Bangladesh and their shared vision for achieving sustainable rural development.
A delegation of esteemed Korean experts including high officials of KOICA Bangladesh office have visited BARD, BRDTI, RDA, NILG and rural community prior to the meeting.
