
Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh recovered the body of a Bangladeshi man in the Kotok Bazar area along the Indian border under the Adarsha Sadar upazila in Cumilla on Thursday morning.
The deceased is Kazi Khabar Hossain, 42, son of the late Kazi Nazir Mia of Gazipur Mazar area of ​​Jagannathpur union under the Adarsha ​​Sadar upazila.
There were injury marks in the man’s body, said police and local people.
Later, the body was sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
‘We have found a dead body near the border. There were injuries in the body from boots and shoes. The body has been handed over to the Kotwali model police station for autopsy,’ said BGB Subedar Osibur Rahman of Cumilla Bibir Bazar land port.
Cumilla Kotwali model police station officer-in-charge Mohinul Islam said that the body was recovered and sent to the Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
‘We primarily assume that it is a planned murder,’ the OC added.
According to local people and police officials, Khabar Hossain was not involved in any illegal activities.
