The closing ceremony of a three-day long workshop titled ‘Business Hackathon: Social Business Innovation and Knowledge Exchange’ was held at Bangladesh University of Professionals in Dhaka on Tuesday.
The workshop, jointly organised by business studies faculty of BUP and Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands, was arranged with a view to applying the students’ skills and creativity to solve real-world social business problems, said a press release.
The workshop also featured a dynamic social business case competition and four expert-led plenary sessions. Five teams, each comprising of students from both Fontys and BUP, participated in a business case competition.
BUP vice-chancellor major general Md Mahbub-ul Alam was present as chief guest and distributed certificates amongst participants. Among others, delegates of Fontys Venlo University of Applied Sciences, BUP high officials, faculty members and students of FBS were present.
