
Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology held orientation programme for the first year students of the 2023-24 academic sessions on the CUET campus in Chattogram on Sunday.
CUET interim vice-chancellor Professor Sudip Kumar Pal was present as chief guest, while engineering and technology faculty dean Professor AH Rashadul Hossain, mechanical engineering faculty dean Professor Kazi Afazalur Rahman, architecture and planning faculty dean Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and registrar (additional charge) Prof essor Sheikh Muhammad Humayun Kabir were present as special guests at the programme.
CUET Students’ Welfare deputy director Md Saiful Islam presided over the programme.
The programme began with the rendition of national anthem. After that, respects were paid to martyrs of the July-August 2024 uprising, said a press release.
Sudip Kumar Pal said that students must develop themselves embracing qualities that promote positive outcomes and well-being for humanity as a whole. ‘Step by step you have to develop yourselves as qualified and successful engineers to change the country and society.’Â
Pointing out that there are no shortcuts on the road to success, he mentioned that the students must work hard. ‘And CUET is always striving to continue your hard work, so that you can become a world-class engineer.’
