Mitsubishi Corporation Bangladesh on Sunday handed over a cheque worth Tk 34 lakh to Dhaka University for establishing virtual classroom and skills development training at the Japanese studies department of the university.
Country representative of the corporation Hiroshi Uegaki handed over the cheque to DU treasurer Professor M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at the Vice-Chancellor Lounge of the university.
Chairman of the department Md Jahangir Alam, associate professor Abdullah-Al-Mamun, among other faculty members and Mitsubishi Corporation manager Syeda Shahtaz Saiara and admin manager Nusrat Jahan, were present on this occasion.
Seeking more support and cooperation from Mitsubishi Corporation in providing scholarship for financially challenged students, he stressed the need for introducing internship programme for the DU students at the Mitsubishi to strengthen relationship between industry and academia.
