The authorities of Jahangirnagar University on Sunday held an anti-bullying rally on the campus to create awareness against it among the students of the university.

They held the rally to create the university free from bullying, drugs, and ensure a fair environment of education.


The JU vice-chancellor Professor Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan inaugurated the procession.

While addressing the rally after the procession, the JU VC said, ‘We should come out from the culture known as bullying. We want to move forward to a better university in terms of research and education.’

Terming the bullying as a crime, theVC also emphasised on creating an environment on the campus free from it.

The JU pro-VC for administrative affairs Professor Sohel Rana, pro-VC for academic affairs Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, treasurer Professor Abdur Rab, registrar ABM Azizur Rahman, among others, attended the rally.

More than a thousand teachers and students of the university participated in the rally with anti-bullying placards.
