
The International Conference on Computing Advancements 2024, organised by the American International University-Bangladesh, concluded on Friday, said a press release on Saturday.
The two-day event brought together researchers, scientists, academics, and industry professionals from around the world to discuss and present cutting-edge research in computing and technology.
The ICCA 2024 saw 688 authors from prestigious institutions worldwide participating in the conference, representing 107 institutions from countries, including Bangladesh, the USA, UK, India, Malaysia, Japan and Canada.
This year’s event highlighted the diversity and international scope of the conference, with eight keynote speeches, 39 technical sessions, and contributions from experts in fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, internet of things, cybersecurity, and data science.
The keynote sessions were a highlight of the ICCA 2024, featuring talks from eminent researchers and industry leaders, including Professor Md Saidur Rahman, an ACM distinguished speaker, who delivered a talk titled Graph Drawing Algorithms in VLSI Design Automation.
The inauguration ceremony of the ICCA 2024 was graced by Carmen Z Lamagna, chief patron of ICCA 2024 and former vice-chancellor of the AIUB, Professor Khandaker Tabin Hasan, the conference chairperson, the AIUB VC Professor Saiful Islam who served as chief guest, and Professor Md Abdur Rahman, pro-VC of the AIUB.
The closing ceremony featured chairman of the board of trustees at AIUB Nadia Anwar as chief guest, Professor Dip Nandi, and Professor Md Asraf Ali.
The AIUB eagerly anticipates the ICCA 2026, where it will once again welcome thought leaders, researchers, and professionals from across the globe.
