
Speakers at a cultural event in Dhaka on Friday said that everyone must work to build a discrimination-free country as people sacrificed their lives in the anti-discrimination student movement.
Organised by Ganatantrik Sanskritik Oikya the event titled Droha-Daha-Swapnajatra was held at Central Shaheed Minar on the Dhaka University campus.
Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi, Bibarton Sangskritik Kendra, Gano Sangskritik Kendra, Charon Sangskritik Kendra, Pragati Lekhak Sangha, Madol, Sanhati Sanskriti Kendra, Samaj Chinta
Forum, Democrazy Clowns, Samageet Sangskriti Prangan, among other, performed at the event.Â
Martyred Farhan Faiz Ratul’s father Shahidul Islam Bhuiyan, folk singer and farmers leader Ranjit Bawali were present as guests at the event.
At the discussion programme, a 13-point demand from the platform was read by Bibarton Sangskritik Kendra general secretary Mafizur Rahman Laltu.
The event was presided over by Udichi vice-president Jamshed Anwar Tapan.Â
