The Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology on Tuesday launched a specialised three-day safety training programme, aimed at enhancing the emergency response capabilities of its staff and ensuring a safer campus environment.

Vice-chancellor of the AUST professor Md Ashraful Hoque inaugurated the event in the morning, marking the commencement of the safety initiative.

The training will conclude on October 17 at the fire service and civil defence training complex in Dhaka’s Mirpur-10.

Fifty selected AUST wardens/assistant wardens of the fire/disaster safety team members will participate in the event, which is designed to provide practical skills and knowledge in fire safety, disaster management, and emergency response. The initiative aligns with AUST’s commitment to prioritising the safety and well-being of its campus community, equipping staff members to handle emergencies effectively and minimise potential risks.
