The annual Urs marking the 884th Fateha-e-Yazdaham, death anniversary of Bara Hazrat Gawsul Azam Shaikh Syed Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) was observed on the premises of Mia Saheb鈥檚 Maidan Khanqah Sharif at Luxmibazar of Dhaka on Thursday.
A discussion on the life and activities of Abdul Kader Zilani (RA) was held following a milad and doa mahfil organised after Magrib prayers on the occasion.
The programme began through recitation of verses from the Quran by Mohammad Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruq and Hafez Md Rahmatullah.
Ninth incumbent peer Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the mutwalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb鈥檚 Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, conducted the discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.
Fateha-e-Yazdaham is being observed every year for more than three centuries at this Khanqah with due respect.
Hafez Mowlana Waheeduddin Mohammed Esam (M A) Pir Saheb and Pesh Imam聽 who is also the khatib of Shah Saheb's Bari Jame Masjid, Maulana Md Hossain Ahmed Afsari and other Islamic scholars spoke on the occasion.聽
The milad mahfil began after Isha prayers, which was conducted by Syed Mohammad Barkatullah Badruddin while Khawja Mohammad Naquib presented naat-e-Rasul (SA).
Later tabarak was distributed among the devotees by convener of the programme Sayed Taiyab Morshed Araf, said a press release.
