The Southeast University Debate Club has announced the launch of the National Debate Competition 2024 with the theme ‘Voice for Resurrection’, which would take place in October 18–19 on the university campus.

The event aims to engage young minds in discussions about the future of Bangladesh and the steps necessary to drive the nation towards sustainable growth and prosperity, said a press release on Friday.

The competition will bring together debaters from 26 universities and 22 colleges and schools across the country, providing a platform for exchange and constructive dialogue.

Participants will engage in rounds of debates covering topics such as the constitution, policy reform, economic growth, social justice, and social governance.

‘Our goal with this competition is not only to challenge participants to defend their viewpoints but also to encourage them to envision a better future for Bangladesh,’ said Professor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, vice-chancellor of SEU.
