Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company disconnected a total of 3262 illegal gas connections including 3189 residential ones and 16 kilometres of unauthorised pipelines were removed during several drives.
The drives were conducted in Kaliganj, Aganagar, Keraniganj, Kamrangir Char, Chandni Housing, Hariharpara, Enayetnagar, Fatulla, Chashadha, Ati Housing, Siddhirganj, Tingao, Bajbi, Duptara, Arai Hazar, Narayanganj, Majidpur, Jamsing, Savar, Sardaganj, Kashimpur, Kaliakair, Chandra and Joydevpur to root out residential connections.
On the other hand, 46 industries, 27 commercial establishments were raided by the company manpower under the leadership of an executive magistrate in Kodda, Konabari Gazipur, Dhanmind, Mirpur, Gulshan, Ashulia, Savar, Bhaluka, Mymensingh and Meghnaghat areas.
