The government has promoted 47 superintendents of police to the rank of additional deputy inspector generals of police.
Public security division of the home ministry issued a gazette notification, signed by senior assistant secretary Habibul Hasan in this regard on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the newly promoted additional DIGs include SP of the range DIG office, Rangpur, Ali Akbar Khan, SP of highway police Md Abdullah Al Mamun, SP of the police training centre, Noakhali Sheikh Md Mizanur Rahman, SP of Criminal Investigation Department Shah Abu Saleh Md Golam Mahmud, SP of Special Branch Md Nazmul Hossain, SP of Dhaka range office Md Ashique Sayeed, SP of industrial police Md Al Mamunul Ansari, SP of telecom Mohammad Abdul Mabud, SP of training and driving school, Dhaka, Mohammad Faizul Kabir, SP of in-service training centre, Lalmonirhat, Muh Mahbubur Rashid, SP of CID Mohammad Shamsul Haque and SP of Dhaka range office Mohammad Zahidul Hasan.聽
The home ministry has also instructed the newly promoted officers to send joining letters to the senior secretary of the public security division through concerned authorities.
