An on-duty traffic constable was stabbed in the back in the Sayedabad Janapad crossing at Jatrabari in Dhaka on Friday night.聽
The constable, Ashraf Ali, 47, posted to Wari traffic division, was attacked at about 9:30pm.
The Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost in-charge Mohammad Faruk said that he had had been taken first to Central Police Hospital at Rajarbagh at about 11:00pm and was then sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital after a surgery.
Jatrabari police officer-in-charge Faruk Ahmed said that no case had so far been filed. 鈥榃e are searching for the attackers.鈥�
