ASA has undertaken a relief and rehabilitation programme worth Tk 59.80 to support the victims of the current flood that devastated the southeastern region of Bangladesh.

Under the initiative, Tk 3 crore will be donated to the chief advisor’s relief fund and Tk 30 crore cash will be provided as aid to the flood affected members of ASA.


Furthermore, it will distribute food materials and drinking water worth of Tk 1.5 crore among the victims. ASA has decided to suspend loan recovery until the return of normalcy in the affected areas.

Besides, interest-free loan amounting to Tk 25 crore will be distributed to affected clients and in addition they will be allowed to withdraw their savings amounting to Tk 200 crore.

ASA also allocates Tk 20 lakh for purchasing seeds, fertiliser and pesticides to assist the farmers for their rehabilitation.

It will also spend Tk 10 lakh for distributing medicines, oral saline among the victims of the current flood and has already sent two medical teams to the most affected areas.
