Police on Monday night arrested former deputy minister for sports and youths affairs, Arif no Joy, in a murder case filed with Mohammadpur police station in Bangla.聽聽
Dhaka Metropolitan Police made the disclosure in a text message to media.聽
Joy, also a former National Football team captain, was elected lawmaker for Netrokona-2 constituency in 2014 general elections and appointed as a deputy minister.聽
Later, he did not get nomination from Awami League in past two general elections in 2018 and 2024.
