Noakhali Science and Technology University celebrated its 18th founding anniversary and University Day organising various programmes on its campus in Noakhli on Monday.
The NSTU vice-chancellor Professor Md Didar-ul-Alam inaugurated the programmes by hoisting flags and releasing balloons on the premises of Joy Bangla Sculpture.
Later, a colourful procession was brought out on the campus, and tributes were paid to the portrait of the founding president of the country, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On the occasion, Didar-ul-Alam congratulated the students, teachers, officers and employees of the university, saying that the NSTU was moving forward after overcoming hurdles.
The university is improving every year, including in academic, education and research indicators, said the VC, hoping that the NSTU would go further with everyone鈥檚 co-ordinated efforts.
Among others, the NSTU pro-VC Professor Mohammad Abdul Baki, treasurer Professor Newaz Mohammed Bahadur, registrar Mohammad Jasim Uddin were present at the programme.
