The 16th annual senate meeting of Bangladesh University of Professionals was held on Monday on BUP campus.
BUP vice-chancellor and senate chairman major general Md Mahbub-ul Alam presided over the meeting, said a press release.
BUP treasurer air commodore Md Shafiqul Islam put forward the revised 2023-24 financial year budget amounting to Tk 129 crore 7 lakh and announced a Tk 132 crore 93 lakh budget for the financial year 2024-25 that was unanimously approved by the senate members. Besides, the 16th annual report was presented in the meeting which was also unanimously approved by the senate members. BUP registrar ABM Faisal Baten conducted the meeting.
鈥楤UP has already formulated an 鈥榓cademic strategic plan 2023-2050鈥� and its implementation will assist in achieving its success at the national and international level,鈥� said the VC Mahbub-ul Alam.
Among the senate members, lawmakers major (retired) Rafiqul Islam (Bir Uttam), Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, Nurul Islam Nahid, Md Shahriar Alam, major general (retired) Salahuddin Miazi, secretaries from different ministries, high officials from Bangladesh Armed Forces, and high officials of BUP were present in the meeting.
