The 31st Kewatkhali sub-branch of the state-owned commercial bank Rupali Bank PLC was inaugurated on Monday at the Shesmore, adjacent to Bangladesh Agricultural University.

Chairman of the board of directors of the bank Kazi Sanaul Hoq was connected online as the chief guest at the inauguration programme, chaired by managing director and CEO of the bank Mohammad Jahangir.


Acting vice-chancellor of BAU Md Abdul Awal, deputy managing directors, company secretary, RBTA principal were present as special guests.

Mymensingh divisional head of the bank Iqbal Hossain Khan, zonal chief Nasreen Sultana, Jamalpur zonal chief Md Monir Uddin Bhuiyan, DGM of Mymensingh divisional office Nizam Uddin and zonal office AGM Md Manjurul Islam, Thanaghat branch manager Md. Ziaul Haque and Kewatkhali sub-branch in-charge Subhra Dev, senior officials of the bank and customers of different levels were present.

Mohammad Jahangir said that Rupali Bank operated 586 branches and 31 sub-branches. The bank was linked to its foreign correspondents all over the world.
