A modern digital X-ray and OPG machine in the radiology department was installed at Dhaka Community Hospital in the city with the support of Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.

Hosaka Yasushi, parliamentary vice-minister for foreign affairs of Japan and Iwama Kiminori, ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh visited and inaugurated the modern digital X-ray and OPG machine on Wednesday, said a press release.


Hosaka appreciated the overall activities of DCHT and expressed his hope to continue the support for the grassroots community of Bangladesh.

The modern equipment was provided under the Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Projects named The Project for Procurement of Medical Radiology Equipment at Dhaka Community Hospital in the Dhaka District.

Professor Quazi Quamruzzaman, chairman DCT, CIS & A-PAD expressed his gratitude to the Japan government for their continuous support to DCHT, CIS  all over Bangladesh.

Ichino Satomi, assistant director of Global Health Strategy Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Japan, Machida Tatsuya of Embassy of Japan, Morimoto Keisuke, official of foreign affairs, the embassy officials, Haruta Hiroki, Iwasaki Daichi, Kobayashi Kana, Titus Doffo, Khan Nanami also participated in the ceremony.

Besides, professor Mahmuder Rahman, coordinator and Trustee of DCHT, Md Golam Mostofa, director of CIS, Dr Omar Sharif Ibne Hasan, director of the DCH were also present at the inaugural programme moderated by Sadia Samad Mouand and  Dr Md Fuadul Islam.
