A discussion and prize distribution were held on the concluding day of the National Nutrition Week at Bagmara in Rajshahi.

In the week, organised by Public Health Nutrition Institute and implemented by the Upazila Health Complex, mother and child food nutrition programmes were held in the upazila through various programmes.


Prizes were awarded to the participants in the quiz competition in the meeting room of the upazila health complex on Wednesday to promote nutritional awareness in educational institutions.

Upazila health and family planning officer Hasan Ali Mollah presided over the discussion where upazila secondary education officer Muktadir Ahmed, upazila women affairs officer Khandkar Makamam Mahmuda, youth development officer Salek Uddin, Secondary Teachers Association president Asadul Islam, Bagmara Press Club president Afazzal Hossain, journalist Abu Bakkar Sujan and others spoke.

Speakers discussed the nutritional needs and nutritional contributions of mothers and babies to maintain health, strength and vitality.

After the discussion, upazila health and family planning officer Hasan Ali Molla handed over prizes to the quiz participants. Upazila sanitary inspector Ashraful Islam Pintu conducted the programme.
