
Dhaka University authorities to grant scholarships and residential facilities to at least 20 Palestinian students, especially female students, for undergraduate and master’s programms every year.
During a meeting with the Palestinian ambassador to Bangladesh Yousef SY Ramadan on Tuesday, the vice-chancellor of the DU Professor ASM Maksud Kamal assured made this announcement.
Maksud Kamal said, ‘Palestinian students will be provided with all kinds of facilities during their studies at Dhaka University.’
During the meeting, they held a discussion on issues of mutual interest, especially the admission, scholarships, and residential facilities.
The ambassador requested the VC to provide admission and scholarships to Palestinian students, especially female students, who are interested in studying at the DU.
The VC also strongly condemned and protested at the massacres, and inhuman atrocities of the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza.
Dean of the earth and environmental sciences faculty Professor Md Zillur Rahman, registrar Probir Kumar Sarker, director of international affairs office Professor Shamsad Mortuza and director of public relations office Mahmood Alam were present on the occasion.
