The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum has reinstated Supreme Court Bar Association president AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon to the forum鈥檚 senior vice president post, 10 days after he was removed for violating the forum鈥檚 discipline.聽
A letter issued on April 29 by the forum, a platform backed by the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party, said that Khokon has been reinstated with the consent of Tarique Rahman, acting chairman of BNP, after withdrawal of the forum鈥檚 decision taken on April 25 to remove him.
Khokon, also a joint secretary general of the BNP, was restored to the post as he said sorry to the forum secretary general Kayser Kamal for making defamatory remarks against him accusing him of removing Khokon, according to the forum members.
The forum accused Khokon of taking charge as the Supreme Court Bar Association president through underhand dealings with the ruling Awami League, violating the forum鈥檚 decision.
