Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident on Narail-Lohagra road at Douatola under Sadar upazila in Narail Thursday night.
One of the victims is Alsaaf Matubbar, 22, son of Asad Matubbar of Kumarpotti village in Saltha Upazila of Faridpur. However, identity of the other couldn鈥檛 be known immediately.
The injured ones are Mostak Sardar, 30, and Mustakin, 20, hailing from Faridpur.
According to police and local people , Alsaaf, Mostak and Mustakin on their way to Narail from Faridpur on a motorcycle. Suddenly it lost control and hit a roadside tree on Narail-Lohagara road.
Alsaaf died on the spot, the two other bike riders and a pedestrian were severely injured. Later, they were taken to Narail Sadar Hospital.
Alok Kumar Bagchi, the duty doctor in the emergency department of Narail Sadar Hospital said, 鈥極ne person (Alsaaf) was already dead when brought here, and another injured person died while undergoing treatment as his injuries was serious. The remaining two were given necessary first-aid and sent to Dhaka for better treatment.鈥�
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Saiful Islam confirmed the incident, saying that necessary legal steps would be taken soon.
