The Institute of Research, Innovation, Incubation and Commercialisation of United International University in collaboration with the AI Forum Bangladesh organised a two-day training on ‘AI essentials for capital market professionals’ concluded at the UIU Innovation Hub in Dhaka on Sunday.
The training is the country’s first real-life AI training for capital market professionals, said a press release.
Thirty officials of LankaBangla Securities PLC participated in the training.
Its main aim is to equip capital market professionals with practical AI skills directly relevant to financial operations, risk management, trade execution and strategic decision-making.
Mohammed Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, managing director; Khandoker Saffat Reza, CEO; SAR Md Muinul Islam, CTO; Mohammad Amir Hossain, senior general manager; and Md Jahangir Hossain, AGM, participated in the programme along with other team members from various departments, including management, digital transformation, accounts and finance, institutional and foreign trade, risk management, operations, trade execution, branch operations, and capital market research.
Professor Khondaker A Mamun, director, MSCSE programme and IRIIC of UIU and founder of AI Forum Bangladesh, led the sessions with hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and practical demonstrations, applying AI-driven solutions to real-world capital market scenarios.
The training also created space for cross-functional collaboration, enabling participants to discuss real-world challenges and explore how AI could be effectively integrated into daily workflows.
