The Banglar Math Team Championship 2025 was held at the Southeast University in Dhaka, said a press release on Wednesday.聽
More than 600 students from different parts of the country participated in this competition and 150 winners were announced in the junior, intermediate and advanced categories in the competition.
In the team round, seven teams in the junior category, 11 teams in the intermediate category and four teams in the advanced category won. In addition, a total of 135 students in the three categories were awarded merit awards based on their results.
It is worth noting that at the national level of BMTC-2025, the Jamal Nazrul Islam Memorial Award for Best Team of BMTC 2025 award was given in memory of Professor Jamal Nazrul Islam.
Eminent educationist and mathematician Mohammad Kaikobad was present as special guest at the event.
He highlighted the importance of mathematics education for the students and encouraged them to excel.
Special guest KM Kabirul Islam, former senior secretary, Technical and Madrassah Education Board, said that such important competitions should be organised more and reiterated his utmost support for the intellectual development of the students.
