Aleksandr Voninski, pro-vice-chancellor, Global, of the University of Newcastle, Australia, visited American International University-Bangladesh campus in Dhakaon Sunday.

Voninski was accompanied by a distinguished delegation that included Mostafizur Rahman, senior director – trade and investment, Australian high commission in Bangladesh, Antony Joseph, regional director of the university for South Asia, and Md Yousuf, regional manager for Bangladesh, said a press release on Tuesday. 


The delegation engaged in a meeting with key representatives of AIUB, including Ishtiaque Abedin, founder member, board of trustees, AIUB.

Also present were Abu Mia Akanda Tuhin, head of public relations, AIUB, major (retired) Faiz-Ul-Bari Rajon, deputy director, administration, and Saadi Islam, public relations officer.

The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for academic collaboration between AIUB and the University of Newcastle in Australia.
